OUTREACH
We reach out
to the marginalized. Building Trust in Marginalized Communities
At S&D, we believe meaningful change starts by reaching those often overlooked. Our weekly visits to Hong Kong’s red light areas are about more than presence — they’re about connection, trust, and hope. We convey one clear message to the women we meet: there is a place to turn for help. Through phone, messaging apps, and our drop-in center, Promise House, help is real and accessible.

DROP-IN Center
A Safe Haven and Empowerment Hub
Since 2015, Promise House has been a beacon of hope in the heart of Hong Kong’s red light district. It’s more than a crisis intervention center; it’s a place of empowerment through classes like fitness, baking, computer literacy, and more. Women start building skills and confidence to dream for new futures. Plus, we offer emergency housing at our Family House along with legal, medical and counseling support through various partnership we value.

AFTERCARE
Guiding New Beginnings
Transitioning out of the trauma from trafficking/exploitation is challenging. Our Aftercare program provides individualized program of 3-12 months of counseling, skills training, financial literacy, recognized vocational qualifications to our scholars building sustainable future plans.
Our relational approach enables our team to build a village of supporters around each beneficiaries while listening to their aspirations and strengths to identify their career paths. Together with our allies, S&D is changing the trajectory for women rebuilding their lives in HK and overseas.
RESTORE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
We offer a real-life work environment and skills training for our beneficiaries.
ReStore aims to increase the personal capacity of individuals who have chosen to leave exploitation, empowering them to achieve sustainable independent means of living. We train our beneficiaries in a real life work environment where they have a structured schedule and learning. By selling the products that are produced during training we show them that making an alternative income is possible and the proceeds also help to provide money for their families. Most of our beneficiaries are single mothers and families to support financially.

REINTEGRATION
We go all the way – supporting beneficiaries as their new lives begin.
We provide reintegration support for international women who are repatriated back to their home countries after our Aftercare programme. We connect them with partner churches, nonprofits and communities in their countries, who can continue to support and walk alongside them as they start their new chapter of life. Our team also travels to visit and follow up with these women.
